Tooth Gem FAQ:

Q: What is a tooth gem? 
A: Tooth gems are a semi-permanent gem or collection of gems that act as decretive jewelry on your teeth.

 

Q: How long do tooth gems last?
A: Tooth gems can last anywhere between a month to one year. If they last longer or you wish to have them removed a dental professional will be able to do so. The length of time they last really depends on the individual. Everyone's lifestyle, diet, oral hygiene, and acidity of their saliva are different and affect your tooth gem longevity.

 

Q: Does the application process hurt? 
A: Nope! The application process is safe, easy, and painless. The entire process only takes roughly 15 minutes. 

 

Q: Will this harm my teeth?
A: Nope! Tooth gems are safe and do not harm your teeth. However, tooth gems can not be applied to crowns or veneers, or dentures

Q: What kind of gems are used? 
A: Swarovski crystals! These crystals are lead free and non toxic, and do not contain dangerous plastics or acrylics. They are also stain resistant. Some other designs used can be made of real gold (usually 18-24k). 

Q: Can I get a tooth gem if I am under 18? 
A: Yup! Anyone 16 and older. Minors under 18 will need with parental consent and your parent/guardian must be present and have their ID as well. Minors will need to bring a birth certificate.

Q: Can I wear a tooth gem if I have braces or a retainer?

A: Unfortunately tooth gems are not recommended if you currently have braces, are using Invisalign or Smile Direct retainers, or use a wire retainer. 

​

Q: What happens if I swallow a gem?
A: Nothing! If you happen to swallow a gem it will pass naturally.
